We are seeking a results-oriented Senior Financial Analyst to partner with our construction teams in driving strategic business decisions. This role requires working closely with stakeholders across functions to develop recommendations based on operational performance, regional dynamics, and macro-economic trends.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a self-starter who can leverage their analytical skills and attention to detail to drive the business while maintaining financial controllership. The successful candidate will work regularly with senior business partners, requiring strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Main Responsibilities
* Regional Leadership Team Member
o Deliver high-quality and robust decisions with favorable business outcomes.
* Data Center Construction Expertise
o Become subject matter expert for data center construction, including cost drivers, pertinent technology, vendors, customers served, and regional nuances.
* Performance Target Setting
o Establish annual/monthly performance targets.
o Analyze variances to plan.
o Communicate key messages to senior leadership.
* Process Improvement
o Pinpoint defects or waste in processes.
o Drive new processes and automation to eliminate defects and prevent recurrence.
* Cost Savings Initiatives
o Identify and lead cost savings initiatives.
* Data Center Capital Expenditure Approvals
o Approve data center capital expenditures.
* Forecasting and Month-End Activities
o Support forecasting and month-end activities across the team and specific regions.
* Improving Tools and Processes
o Identify opportunities to improve tools and processes to support finance teams and business partners.
Requirements
* Education
o Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics, or business.
o Bachelor's degree and experience in quantitative roles (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance).
* Experience
o Experience in tax, finance, or related analytical fields.
o Experience in accounts receivable or account payable.
o Experience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses.
o Experience creating process improvements with automation and analysis.
o Experience identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize, or simplify finance or business tools and processes.
o Experience working with stakeholders.
o MBA or CPA.
o Experience participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results.
o Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos).
o Knowledge of Tableau.
