Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Electrical Site Inspector to join our team at a leading engineering consultancy operating across Ireland, the UK, and Europe. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on high-quality, energy-efficient projects in commercial and industrial developments.
About the Role
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and compliance of electrical installations across multiple projects. Responsibilities include conducting site inspections, monitoring installation standards, and working closely with design engineers to uphold technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct site inspections to assess the quality and compliance of electrical installations.
* Attend technical meetings and liaise with contractors to ensure design specifications are followed.
* Develop and implement inspection plans in collaboration with the design team.
* Review and verify technical submittals from contractors.
* Identify and report any deviations from electrical design specifications and industry standards.
* Prepare detailed reports on project progress and installation quality.
* Monitor adherence to IS 10101 National Rules for Electrical Installations and relevant building regulations.
* Support project engineers in resolving technical queries and challenges.
* Ensure that all electrical work aligns with health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
* Assist in surveys and evaluations for ongoing and future projects.
Requirements:
* A Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technician qualification, or Senior Electrical Trades qualification.
* A minimum of 5 years' experience in commercial and industrial electrical installations.
* Strong knowledge of IS 10101 National Rules for Electrical Installations and relevant building regulations.
* Experience in site supervision and electrical project management.
* Ability to review and assess technical submittals from contractors.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Teams, and other relevant software.
* Experience with Navisworks is an advantage but not essential.
