Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Train Maintainer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanics or electrical engineering and experience working in a Rolling Stock Maintenance environment.
The successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining vehicles according to specified Company, Quality, and Health & Safety procedures. This will involve carrying out vehicle preparation work as required, using on-board computerized equipment, and undertaking train fault diagnostic work using laptop computers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain vehicles in accordance with Company, Quality, and Health & Safety procedures
* Carry out vehicle preparation work as required, using on-board computerized equipment
* Undertake train fault diagnostic work using laptop computers
* Participate in emergency call-out teams
* Attend regular team briefings and communicate relevant matters
* Continuously improve processes and procedures
* Coach and develop other train maintainers when required
* Report accidents/incidents through appropriate channels
* Read reports/manuals and participate in training programs
Requirements:
* Qualification in a technical discipline, mechanical or electrical
* Experience of electronics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanics
* Experience working within a Rolling Stock Maintenance or similar environment
* History of work in a process/production environment (preferable)
* Working knowledge of Quality and Health & Safety standards and systems (preferable)
* Clean driving licence for light vehicles
* PC skills, including all Microsoft software packages
