About The Role
To deliver the strategic goals alongside ensuring that the client experience is second to none, technology is maximised in the department, performance metrics are met, and staff are developed to support the business succession planning model.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
* Monitor and manage departmental budgets
* Profit & loss analysis
* Op's costs (resourcing planning)
* Establish and deliver strategic goals.
* Define objectives to match strategic goals.
* Effectively manage your team throughout the delivery of them
* Manage the flow of day-to-day operations within your department.
* KPI delivery
* Enhanced customer experience including complaint management.
* Succession planning
* Training and competency
* Recruitment
* Coaching/121’s/performance management/PDPs of direct and indirect reports
* Colleague engagement
* Create and articulate business MI/reporting and impacts to stakeholders effectively (verbal and written)
* Daily, weekly, monthly data analysis
* Trend analysis
* Action plans
* Create, complete, and deliver GAP analysis, process reviews and improvement plans into the department/business
* Satisfactory completion of ad-hoc work as requested by management.
* Effectively implement and manage change
* Project Management
* Work effectively alongside other business areas to ensure that we all meet the business objectives, e.g., Client Accounts team with sales margins and negotiations
About You:
* Proven experience of leading fast-paced & growing operational teams
* Experience within strategic planning and budgeting at P&L level
* Resource planning and forecasting experience
* Great planning and organisational skills, and a track record of delivering results both in BAU activities and within projects
* Strong motivational and influencing leadership skills
* Organisational skills - the ability to manage multiple tasks at once & meet sometimes tight deadlines
* Confident, self-motivated with an appetite to learn
* People management experience through the full employee lifecycle with experience of delivering high levels of employee engagement
* Ability to make key decisions, problem solve and resolve issues promptly
* Excellent communication skills – being comfortable to present to senior management, clients and employees
* Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
* Ability to quickly adapt to change
