**Job Summary:**
The Buyer will negotiate business terms and conditions to purchase products or services that meet ABEC's needs while ensuring favorable prices, quality, and delivery times.
The ideal candidate will work closely with our team to develop effective business relationships with vendors, identify opportunities for improvement, and ensure required performance standards are met.
**Responsibilities:**
• Support Operations by procuring components on schedule to manufacture ABEC disposable containers.
• Collaborate with Suppliers to achieve optimal price, quality, and lead time for all items/services purchased by ABEC.
• Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure consistent high performance and continuous improvement.
• Assist QC/Receiving in resolving product or documentation discrepancies and coordinate with Mech./Elec. Design as needed.
• Provide timely updates on procurement status for DC builds and Customer Orders and participate in Operations planning meetings.
• Support Applications in obtaining quotations for materials/services related to project proposals.
• Coordinate with Operations to identify opportunities for product training and technical information sessions.
• Work collaboratively with other department employees and Global Supply Chain Manager to identify and implement process improvements.
• Other tasks as assigned to support builds and customer expectations.
• Follow all ABEC safety rules and policies.
• Identify and drive Continuous Improvement (CI) opportunities.
• Ability to travel when required.
**Requirements:**
• AS in Business or related field, or equivalent experience
• 3-5 years of experience in a business environment
• Excellent communication skills with all levels of company structure
• Self-motivated, organized, adaptable, flexible, and able to work independently.
• Proficiency in Microsoft's Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Willingness to learn at a challenging pace and in a changing environment
• Strong attention to detail
