Commissioning Manager
Job Summary:
A dynamic opportunity has arisen for a High Voltage Commissioning Manager to join our team in Dublin and across Leinster, working on HV Commissioning projects.
Our client is a highly sought-after HV Electrical contractor delivering services in Renewable Energy projects and offering Engineering Design & Consultancy Services across Ireland and the UK.
We are looking for a skilled Commissioning Manager with experience in High Voltage commissioning to manage a commissioning team, collaborate with the Engineering Director, and perform SAP duties.
The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and coordinating training needs, leading on-site commissioning efforts, and partnering with the Health and Safety Officer to keep HV Safety Rules updated.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and manage a commissioning team to execute projects in target areas.
2. Collaborate with the Engineering Director to expand business lines within key markets.
3. Perform SAP (Senior Authorised Person) duties, including HV switching and isolations on live networks.
4. Identify and coordinate training needs for team members, potentially including in-house training delivery.
5. Lead on-site commissioning efforts until team members achieve AP (Authorised Person) competency.
6. Partner with the Health and Safety Officer to keep HV Safety Rules updated per industry standards.
7. Manage project milestones, deadlines, and overall programme.
8. Plan and coordinate vendor FAT/SAT, with possible on-site attendance as needed.
9. Participate in and contribute to daily/weekly project meetings with internal teams, vendors, and clients.
10. Oversee the delivery, review, and approval of key project documents, including Test Protocols and Compliance statements.
Requirements:
* 3+ years of industry experience in a similar role.
* High Voltage commissioning experience is essential.
* Proficiency in MS Office and MS Project.
* A valid, clean driving licence.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Goal-oriented with strong people skills.
