The successful applicant will report to the Head of Operations within Clare Tourism East and collaborate with Senior Management and Business Unit Managers at Bunratty Castle & Folk Park, Knappogue Castle, Craggaunowen Bronze Age Park, and Holy Island Visitor Experience to enhance these iconic attractions into a world-class visitor experience.
The Maintenance Manager will ensure all operational equipment and facilities function efficiently and safely while overseeing the implementation and administration of Maintenance Management Systems.
They will develop and execute a comprehensive maintenance program covering scheduled, preventive, and reactive maintenance.
Priority Areas for the
Maintenance Manager:
Support operational, maintenance, and health & safety aspects of the visitor experience.
Work with the Head of Operations to ensure key safety and maintenance objectives are met by optimizing resource use.
Provide line management to the maintenance team and collaborate with Business Unit Managers.
Ensure a safe, world-class visitor experience while fostering a culture of trust, respect, and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement maintenance strategies to minimize equipment downtime and disruptions.
Plan and schedule preventive and corrective maintenance.
Coordinate maintenance contracts with the procurement department and Assistant Head of Operations.
Ensure maintenance activities comply with safety standards.
Respond to facility and equipment breakdowns, alarms, and system failures.
Address maintenance issues raised by the company.
Maintain high standards of general site maintenance.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives in maintenance procedures.
Oversee all site maintenance activities, including mechanical, electrical, security, and HVAC systems.
Communicate daily with operational management on maintenance matters.
Maintain a visible presence across sites and foster strong employee relations.
Lead training initiatives and ensure open communication with staff.
Deliver assigned projects and support best practices across all Clare Tourism visitor sites.
