Job Summary:
Maynooth University is seeking an experienced atmospheric or land surface modelling scientist to work on the Urban Sense research project. The successful candidate will have knowledge of and expertise in modelling urban land cover and climate.

The Urban Sense Project:
This collaborative research project is coordinated by Maynooth University and supported by Research Ireland's LERO Centre in partnership with Dublin City Council. It aims to generate spatial-temporal datasets from various sources, including Spaceborne Satellites, Drones, and GIS databases.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop novel methodological approaches to characterise urban building stock based on available imagery.
* Work closely with Principal Investigators and the wider Urban Sense team to support data collection, EO, and modelling R&D activities.
* Analyse and visualise multi-dimensional data using Cran R.
* Develop model code using Python.
Requirements:
* Experience in handling and processing data from various sources and formats.
* Knowledge of ML-based analysis techniques is beneficial but not required.
