Staff or Senior Speech and Language Therapist
Job Type: Full Time Permanent
We are seeking a highly skilled Staff or Senior Speech and Language Therapist to join our client, an independent charity providing care and support to people with severe and enduring mental health needs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct assessments to identify speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
* Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on assessment outcomes.
* Deliver therapy sessions to clients in both individual and group settings, utilizing evidence-based approaches.
* Monitor, evaluate, and document client progress, making adjustments to therapy plans as necessary.
* Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to provide holistic and consistent care.
* Participate actively in team meetings, training, and professional development activities.
Requirements:
* A Bachelor of Science or Masters degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
* Current registration with CORU as a Speech and Language Therapist in Ireland.
* Dysphagia qualification accredited by IASLT or an equivalent recognized level.
* A minimum of 2 years of full-time, post-qualification clinical experience working with adults.
* At least 1 year of experience specializing in adults with acquired disorders.
* Proven clinical expertise in assessing and treating adults with acquired communication and swallowing difficulties.
* Comprehensive knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic techniques and interventions relevant to the role.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Demonstrated strong leadership abilities.
