Job Title: HIPE Coder (Hospital In-Patient Enquiry)
Summary
The ideal candidate will hold a comparable and relevant third-level qualification of at least level 6 on the National Qualifications Framework maintained by Qualifications and Quality Ireland (QQI). The individual must have evidence of experience in medical terminology and patient charts, as well as knowledge of the importance of HIPE and Activity Based Funding.

* Understand the total healthcare delivery system.
* Have proven IT skills.
* Have excellent interpersonal skills and proven written and verbal communication abilities.
* Proven organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Able to work on own initiative, prioritise and manage a number of issues simultaneously.
Requirements
The successful candidate will possess:
* Evidence of experience in medical terminology and patient charts.
* Knowledge of the importance of HIPE and Activity Based Funding.
* Experience of clinical coding in ICD-10 desirable.
