The role
Ekco is looking for an experienced Senior Security Consultant with in-depth expertise in Information Security, Cyber Security, Information Technology, and large enterprise environments. This role will work directly with Enterprise Clients to advise, assess, and deliver complex assessments and projects related to Data Security and Enterprise Cyber Security.
Key Responsibilities
1. Working as part of a team to deliver Enterprise Security projects across a wide range of technologies, including Enterprise Data Security, Data Loss Prevention, Email Security, Web Security, and Endpoint Security platforms.
2. Assess Cyber Security tooling compliance to client standards, security framework, and regulatory requirements.
3. Develop, document, and present risk and remediation plans for IT Security Risks, including Security tooling architecture and configurations on behalf of owners to ensure compliance with standards, frameworks, and regulations.
4. Guide Security Stakeholders and Business Owners in best practices on data security, secure configuration, logging & monitoring, environment segmentation, and DR/BCP planning.
5. Provide technical expertise to assist customer teams in verification of compliance to above security and framework controls.
6. Contribute to client operating model designs to enable effective security tooling and business control assessments.
7. Stay abreast of emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and controls.
Key Requirements
1. University degree in Information Security, Computer Science or similar, or equivalent professional work experience.
2. At least 7 years of practical experience in information security, Data Security (DLP, Classification, and similar) or IT Security assessments.
3. Senior and/or Expert level Certifications in Cyber Security, including Data Protection and Microsoft Cloud Security, such as: CISSP, CISM, CDPSE, CCSP, GSNA, CISA, SC-100, SC-400.
4. Significant Project and Operational Experience with Data Security, including Data Loss Prevention, Data Classification, and Data Discovery. Experience with Microsoft Purview and Forcepoint desired.
5. Deep understanding of a broad range of Cyber Security technologies and Zero Trust concepts. Experience with the Microsoft Defender stack desired.
6. Solid understanding of security protocols, cryptography, authentication, authorization, and disaster recovery.
7. Adept understanding and experience with IT operations platforms and technologies, including logging and monitoring platforms.
8. Strong communication skills, service-oriented thinking, initiative, and independent way of acting.
9. Very good command of spoken and written English.
Desirable Skillsets
1. Deep Knowledge of Data Security and Privacy.
2. Knowledge of Enterprise IT and Application Architectures.
3. Knowledge of NIST 800 and ISO 27000 security frameworks.
4. Experience with IT Risk Reporting and Compliance.
5. Experience with IT Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Processes.
