Job Description
An EHS Project Specialist is required to provide environmental, health and safety support to a biopharmaceutical fill finish operating facility.
Responsibilities:
* Monitor and ensure compliance with all applicable government regulations and company standards and values.
* Work closely with manufacturing staff and the EHS Team to promote safe manufacturing practices and procedures.
* Identify and address site EHS issues and employee concerns.
* Perform accident/incident management activities, including recordkeeping.
* Implement and track corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
* Monitor and maintain training programs for health, safety and the environment.
* Review and audit Environmental, Health and Safety programs on site to ensure legal compliance.
* Stay up-to-date with new EHS government regulations and industry best practices.
* Buold relationships with key departments to foster support for EHS programs.
Qualifications and Experience
* Bachelor's degree in an EHS-related discipline or equivalent experience required.
* Minimum 2-4 years of professional experience in environment, health and safety programs required.
* Relevant experience in an EPA regulated facility and in a cGMP environment desirable.
* Knowledge and understanding of environment, health and safety permitting and regulations required.
* Specific experience in hazardous waste management or other professional EHS trainings or certifications a plus.
