Job Description
Located in our site in Clondalkin Dublin D22 DC 91 and reporting to the Distribution Centre Coordinator, your main mission will be the following:
Coordinate and supervise the resources assigned to manufacture our products in respect of quality, service and cost requirements, in order to satisfy our customers, and guarantee a safe workplace for our employees. You will be working on morning, afternoon and night shifts.
General
1. Direct, train, assign and supervise the work of assigned employees.
2. Independently solve advanced problems by referring to established procedures and policies.
3. Rely on experience and judgment to plan and complete assigned tasks and objectives.
Leadership
1. Monitor and evaluate the team members and adapt training where necessary, according to the competence matrix. Develop the best talent within the team by preparing structured development plans.
2. Act as a role model for the whole team and as a driver for change. Set an example of commitment, application and willingness to meet the needs of the company.
3. Lead and positively influence the team members to work together to achieve individual and company goals.
4. Act as a liaison between the team and the rest of the organization. Become the key person in managing communication between the work team and the different hierarchical levels within the organization.
5. Manage conflicts and provide constructive feedback to drive an engaged workforce.
6. Manage own emotions and adopt an effective communication style.
Operational tasks
1. Accountable for EHS (Environmental, Health and Safety) Standards on the shop-floor.
2. Ensure that all the machines/equipment are being run correctly in order to produce our products, according to daily production plan, service and quality requirements.
3. Constantly update all relevant databases in order to report daily KPIs (safety, quality, productivity, service, etc.).
4. Contribute to meeting all DC metrics and targets, at team level and at overall DC level.
5. Cooperate with the DC Planner, the maintenance team and the other relevant functions (Shipping, CSR) in case of changes to the daily production plan or needs for scheduling machine downtimes.
6. Ensure that the quality checks are being carried out by the operators, developing a mindset promoting improved quality behaviour in the team.
7. Act and promptly take rational decisions, in case of breakdowns and malfunctioning of machines, equipment and/or deviation from standards. Report all relevant information to superiors and colleagues with the appropriate level of detail and in a timely manner.
8. Actively lead Managing Daily Improvement meetings and be proactively involved in strategic meetings and initiatives.
9. Manage the communication of any topic related to the production environment to the work team and the DC management team.
10. Responsible for managing all records relating to working hours, overtime and holidays, staff communications and training courses.
11. Ensure that standard operating procedures are followed by conducting frequent company audits.
12. Cooperate with other functional areas to solve problems and develop optimized production processes.
Qualifications
1. You have a manufacturing background or a similar successful experience of at least 2/3 years.
2. Fluent in English language.
3. You are pragmatic and you enjoy the shop floor environment.
4. You are methodical, structured and possess problem solving skills.
5. You possess good interpersonal and leadership skills.
6. You have experience in lean manufacturing & continuous improvement.
