Job Title: Risk Claims Coordinator
Aviva is seeking skilled professionals to join its Risk Protection Claims Team. As a Risk Claims Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in efficiently managing income protection and specified illness claims, ensuring compliance and prioritizing customer satisfaction.
Duties & Responsibilities:
* Assessment and Review of Income Protection and Specified Illness Claims:
o Conduct thorough assessments of income protection and specified illness claims to ensure accurate processing.
* Case Management of Income Protection Claims:
o Work closely with clients and clinical providers to develop rehabilitation and recovery plans.
o Identify cases with potential for claim recovery and provide support as required in conjunction with internal and external specialists.
* Managing Cases to an Outcome:
o Manage cases to a successful outcome, including return to work, termination, or continued payment.
* Dealing with Appeals on Claim Terminations:
o Handle appeals on claim terminations, including referrals to the Financial Services Ombudsman (FSPO).
Skills & Experience:
* Experience in the Medical Field:
o Desirable experience in occupational health, nursing, physiotherapy, or a related field.
* Excellent Inter-personal and Communication Skills:
o Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively manage stakeholders, including internal departments and external employers.
* Well-organised and Ability to Manage Multiple Tasks:
o Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and maintain a high level of organisation.
* Self-motivated with Strong Leadership Qualities:
o Strong leadership qualities, self-motivation, and ability to work independently while promoting new ideas and ways of working.
