Job Title: Commis Chef
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commis Chef to join our culinary team at the Holyrood Hotel Donegal.
About the Role:
As a Commis Chef, you will play a vital role in assisting our Head Chef and Sous Chefs during service, helping with food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist on different sections of the kitchen, ensuring smooth operation and high-quality dishes.
2. Work closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chefs to execute menus, maintain standards, and drive innovation.
3. Maintain kitchen health and hygiene procedures, adhering to strict guidelines and regulations.
4. Cook food to order, using fresh ingredients and presenting dishes to a high standard.
Requirements:
* Minimum 2 years' experience in professional cookery, preferably in a similar role.
* Excellent knife skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
* Knowledge of food safety, allergens, and nutritional requirements.
* Ability to lift heavy objects, stand for long periods, and work in a fast-paced environment.
