About the Role
Cpl Healthcare, in partnership with a leading non-profit homeless service provider, is seeking dynamic individuals to join their team in Dublin.
The role involves working as part of a team to provide professional services, access to food, respite, and advice to single people who are out of home or at risk of homelessness.
The service provides a safe environment that facilitates social inclusion and enables customers to become more involved in services.
This is a 20-hour per week role, with potential for additional hours if desired. Flexibility to work a 7-day rota is required.
Responsibilities
* Follow all policies while on-site.
* Provide a safe, welcoming environment by reducing or removing incidents and/or harmful behaviours, adhering to organisational TCI and managing violence policies.
* Interact with people, observing their behaviour, dealing with emergencies according to guidelines, and reporting incidents to appropriate staff.
* Assist with daily cleaning of the service.
* Maintain up-to-date contact records, daily logs, and written Incident and Child Protection Reports.
* Assist in mentoring new staff and modelling good work practice.
* Submit regular reports as deemed necessary by management.
* Work closely with other teams within the organisation and Statutory and Voluntary Agencies.
Requirements & Experience Needed
* Relevant third-level degree in social care (youth work, social studies, addiction, psychology).
* At least 2 years' experience in social care, working with disadvantaged persons.
* Experience supporting marginalised persons with high-risk and challenging behaviour.
* Working knowledge of issues affecting people out-of-home and their impact on physical, emotional, and psychological development/status.
* Experience working in a team with a shared goal.
* Knowledge of services in the homeless sector (desirable).
* Awareness of child protection issues and response methods (desirable).
