On-site My client has an exciting opportunity for an Engineer with HVAC experience to join them in Dublin This role is field based and will require travel.
To continuously support their customers, adding value to their operations in targeted markets, by the servicing of humidity control equipment.
Ensuring their customer expectations are realised, demonstrating their position as the preferred service supplier.
Key Activities and Accountability.
To undertake accurate, timely and high-quality servicing for their contract maintenance customers in accordance with the company vision and relevant health and safety.
To accurately identify and replace spares components on customer equipment to improve or restore the performance of equipment.
Make accurate proposal and explanation to customer regarding recommended/critical spares or required refurbishments To undertake accurate airflow measurements and performance assessments against standard procedures for assessment of unit performance To undertake system upgrading and refurbishment either at customer's premises or in our Return to Works facility Matching customer servicing requirements accurately to the scope of works and timescales laid out on a project under the terms of the customer quotation To provide timely and accurate commissioning and setup of equipment.
To provide clear technical service reports daily, that are clearly communicated to Internal After Sales Support team To provide clear Health and Safety documentation for each site visit and communicate to internal After Sales Support team To seek out servicing opportunities from new and existing customers Assists team members outside normal geographic region when project distribution difficulties arise ensuring best use of human resources Works under own initiative to manage contract customers in own geographic area to maximise amount of time available to service customer units.
Monitors and reports on competitive activity.
Participates positively within the team, consistently demonstrating a positive attitude and contributing fully to the overall success of the team.
Participates fully in all company training initiatives including self-study, mentoring, on the job training and ensures that all necessary certification and accreditation are renewed to date.
At all times complies with statutory, company and customer health and safety requirements and site working instructions.
Where there is a requirement in the business your skills may be employed by other teams in such duties as project engineering, engineering support through the sales process and product technical support.
This activity must be authorised by your line manager but reporting to the respective team manager requiring support.
Skills and Experience Required Minimum of three years field servicing experience of engineering capital equipment (E).
Candidates must be FGAS certified.
Computer Literacy (word, excel, lotus, application software).
Knowledge of the HVAC Industry with a minimum of 1 years' experience The post holder should have experience of generating accurate assessments of electrical and mechanical component fault diagnosis on engineered capital equipment and prepare clear quantification of size and impact of failure to effect remedial action.
Have presented technical service reports in customer friendly languages/styles.
Demonstrate knowledge of reporting techniques required to regularly update After Sales Support Team with servicing activity reports in their geographic region.
Demonstrate knowledge and experience of calculating airflow and moisture content measurements.
Have a good working knowledge of air handling techniques.
Have experience and ability to demonstrate relationship building skills (I.e.
would their previous customers work with them again given the opportunity because of establishment strong relationship.
HNC/HND or higher in a relevant Engineering qualification.
