Our client, a leading civil engineering contractor, is seeking a Site Engineer to join their team, working on Irish Water projects across Ireland. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with 2 years’ experience looking to develop their career in the utilities sector. The successful candidate will play a key role in the successful delivery of water and wastewater projects, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee setting out, surveying, and site coordination for Irish Water projects.
* Interpret technical drawings and specifications, ensuring all works align with project requirements.
* Monitor site progress, quality, and safety, addressing any technical challenges that arise.
* Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and Irish Water representatives to ensure seamless project execution.
* Maintain accurate site records, including as-built drawings, progress reports, and quality control documentation.
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations on all site activities.
* Assist in the preparation of risk assessments, method statements, and project reports.
Requirements:
* Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
* Minimum 2 years’ experience working on civil or utilities projects, preferably in water/wastewater.
* Proficiency in setting out and surveying equipment (e.g., Total Station, GPS) and software such as AutoCAD.
* Strong problem-solving, communication, and organisational skills.
* Understanding of Irish Water standards and construction regulations.
* Full, clean driving licence.
Package Includes:
* Competitive salary of €50,000 - €55,000 per annum.
