SCOPE OF WORK:
To ensure the smooth running of all aspects of front office.
To ensure room sales are maximised.
To ensure an efficient and personalised service is offered to all guests in line with Trigon Hotel Group procedure brand service standards
Assume overall responsibility for the Front Desk in the absence of the Front Office Manager
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure day & night teams synergise & work together as one department
Cross train employees to work on both days & nights
Recruitment of staff for the Front Office on an ongoing basis, to maintain the talent bank
To develop, motivate and carry out one-week reviews, job chats & Performance Review of all Front Office Staff
To oversee and implement all staff training within Front Office and to ensure that signed training records are kept
To maximise room sales always and ensure that all Front Office staff are focused on the team's sales objective
To set monthly incentives and targets for all Front Office staff and feedback results
To ensure all Trigon Hotel Group Health & Safety policies are adhered to
To ensure that all tasks carried out by Front Office staff are carried out to the required standard
To make recommendations to the Front Office Manager and Deputy General Manager regarding any new standards/procedures within the Front Office that maybe required
To prepare the rota for all Front Office staff and to forecast weekly wages
To ensure the security of cash/float/safety deposits within the department
To complete all company control documentation, banking and daily business
To have a complete understanding of all aspects of Night Audit operations and carry out on an intermittent basis
To report any comments, complaints and compliments to the General Manager
To ensure a high level of personal/work cleanliness and hygiene within the department.
To ensure all duties are carried out in a safe manner regarding the Health & Safety/welfare of themselves, other members of staff, guests, or any other persons on Hotel's premises
To adhere to the Company's code of conduct
To report any thefts, breakage's, damage or hazards
To carry out any other reasonable request made by the management or Hotel guests
It is a requirement of the Hotel and Company that employees avail themselves to training and communication meetings as required, for which notice will always be given
Monitor & control holidays & lieu time monthly
Regularly review SoP Manuals
Management of absenteeism
Host monthly departmental meeting according to Trigon Hotel Group meeting criteria
Responsible for correlating & internally publicising guest feedback
