Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer Role
About the Role
The primary responsibility of this role is to provide daily support to production operations, clean utilities and associated maintenance. This includes working closely with Technical Services and Operations personnel to troubleshoot issues, make changes to instrumentation in line with site change control procedures and site standards, and respond to system events.
Main Responsibilities
* Provide day-to-day operation's support related to site instrumentation, including troubleshooting issues and making changes as needed.
* Oversight of calibrations performed in the CMMS system, GMARS, ensuring information is documented appropriately and correct standards are used.
* Engineering support to both maintenance and operation in area of expertise, including ensuring maintenance program is appropriate for biotech operations.
* Ensure maintenance measures are in place and take appropriate action to address any issues identified by production or through the maintenance program.
* Raise, investigate and complete deviations as appropriate, and ensure maintenance procedures are always appropriate and audit ready.
Requirements
This role requires an Honours Engineering Degree with relevant experience, proficiency in English, and 5-10 years working in biotech engineering, operations, or manufacturing with deep technical experience in specific unit operations related to biotech manufacturing.
A strong understanding of GMP'S and regulatory requirements is also necessary, as well as a proven ability to work independently and without direct supervision.
