Job Description:
Our client, an established hospital in Dublin, is currently recruiting a Clinical Nurse Facilitator Theatre (CNF) to join their team.
The successful candidate will:
1. Provide education, training, and support to all members of staff.
2. Facilitate professional development, encourage lifelong learning, and foster an appropriate climate for learning within the clinical environment.
3. In collaboration with the Clinical Nurse Managers, identify learning needs at ward level and develop effective learning activities to meet those needs.
4. Monitor standards of nursing care provided and problem-solve clinical nursing concerns.
5. Be available to patients, relatives, and visitors to provide necessary support, education, reassurance, and clinical information.
6. Attend and participate in development programmes on an ongoing basis and share knowledge with other members of the nursing team.
7. Assist with the orientation and induction of new staff and provide necessary orientation to help them integrate as members of the Unit team.
8. Assist in the training of nursing support staff.
9. Identify and inform the ADON nurse education and practice development of any training and professional development requirements.
10. Attend all mandatory training days and ensure that all mandatory training is up to date.
Criteria
1. Registered with NMBI and have full work permits.
2. At least 3-5 years recent post-registration nursing experience as a peri-operative nurse, including anaesthesia, PACU, General Surgery, orthopaedic/trauma experience also desirable.
3. A recognised post-registration nursing course relevant to theatre services.
4. Hold an up-to-date ACLS course or be in pursuit of the same.
5. Hold a management qualification or be in pursuit of the same.
6. Hold a teaching qualification or be in pursuit of the same.
7. Excellent interpersonal & organisational skills.
8. Can-do attitude.
9. Ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team.
10. Approachable manner.
