Job Description
We're seeking talented Network Development Engineers to join our team. As a key member, you will be responsible for building, operating, and maintaining our next-generation networks. You'll work closely with our team to deliver scalable, reliable, and secure networking solutions for our customers.
Key Responsibilities
* Leverage your networking expertise to engineer, implement, and scale our network infrastructure.
* Develop automation mechanisms to reduce manual operations and improve efficiency.
* Analyse network performance using tools and metrics to ensure optimal operation.
* Investigate complex technical issues and collaborate with the team to resolve them.
* Plan, deliver, and simplify new systems, processes, and tools to meet customer needs.
* Design sustainable and repeatable solutions, eliminating bottlenecks and optimizing network performance.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience in a large-scale network environment.
* Hands-on experience with routing protocols/technologies and platforms in large-scale data centre and/or Wide Area Networking (WAN) environments.
* Experience developing engineering, deployment, or operations mechanisms to support IP networking systems.
* Technical on-call experience, responding to customer impacting events and root cause analysis.
* Familiarity with networking configuration tools, Infrastructure as Code, or scripting languages.
Preferred Qualifications
* Detailed knowledge of TCP/IP networking, routing, and Network Security architecture, including core technologies like IP, TCP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, load balancers, firewalls, ACLs, DNS, DHCP, and IP address management.
* Experience with Linux or other Unix operating systems.
* Understanding of different networking hardware and packet forwarding architectures.
* Proficiency in one or more programming/scripting languages, including Python, Perl, Ruby, Shell, Java, etc.
