Job Title: Technical Officer - Property & Fire Safety Management
This is a permanent full-time position within the Properties and Facilities Department, reporting to the Head of Properties and Facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Providing technical services including the preparation of drawings, surveying of new and existing property stock, inspection of active construction sites, and inspection of existing property stock.
* Ensuring compliance with building regulations and undertaking the role of Fire Prevention and Safety Manager for the organisation.
Requirements:
* A minimum of 5+ years of experience in a relevant technical post.
* Experience of working in a construction/refurbishment role.
* Good knowledge of building regulations and experience in fire safety.
* Leadership and management skills in fire safety within an organisation.
* Relevant experience in a similar environment is an advantage.
* Ability to work with local authorities, developers, AHBs, and contractors.
* Experience in preparing detailed drawings, pricing documents, and specifications.
* Project management skills for construction/refurbishments works.
* Knowledge of security systems is an advantage.
* Broad experience in facilities, property, maintenance, energy management, and health & safety would be beneficial.
Desirable Skills:
* Familiarity with Microsoft software packages.
* Proficiency in ICT systems applicable to this field.
