Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual in the financial services industry to join our dynamic and growing Credit Union. The successful candidate will work closely with the Loans Manager and be responsible for a range of operational and administrative duties essential to the efficient functioning of the Credit Union.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver outstanding service to members, driving growth in loan applications and promoting a positive member experience.
* Underwrite loan applications in accordance with established policies and procedures.
* Address and resolve queries from both colleagues and members, escalating issues to the Management Team as necessary.
* Provide daily reports on loan activities to the Management Team.
* Review and recommend improvements to loan policies and procedures.
* Ensure compliance with all applicable financial services regulations and legislation.
* Operate within the authority and limits set by the Board of Directors.
* Perform additional tasks as required by management.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
* A third-level qualification is highly desirable.
* A minimum of 3 years’ experience in personal lending. Mortgages experience highly desirable.
* Strong expertise in credit analysis and underwriting.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with members and colleagues.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
* A proactive and self-motivated approach, with a proven ability to achieve set targets.
Remuneration package will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
