Job Description
The Systems Analyst will be responsible for executing technical upgrades of our investment management system (IMS) for SaaS clients.
Key Responsibilities:
* Technical Assessment and Planning: Assess client systems and infrastructure to determine compatibility and readiness for upgrades.
* Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to define technical requirements and dependencies for upgrade projects.
* Develop detailed upgrade plans, including timelines, resource requirements, and risk mitigation strategies.
Upgrade Execution and Deployment:
* Lead technical aspects of upgrade projects, including software installation, configuration, and testing.
* Coordinate with development and testing teams to ensure smooth transition to upgraded systems.
* Implement deployment strategies to minimize downtime and disruption to client operations.
Testing and Quality Assurance:
* Help develop and execute test plans to validate functionality, performance, and compatibility of upgraded systems.
* Identify and troubleshoot technical issues and discrepancies during testing phases.
* Ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices throughout the upgrade process.
Documentation and Knowledge Transfer:
* Create and maintain documentation for knowledge transfer.
* Contribute to team training and support clients on upgraded system functionality and usage.
* Facilitate knowledge transfer sessions to share insights and lessons learned from past upgrade projects.
Technical Support and Troubleshooting:
* Serve as a primary point of contact for technical support during the upgrade deployments.
* Investigate and resolve technical issues reported by clients or internal stakeholders.
* Escalate complex issues or system failures to appropriate teams for resolution.
Continuous Improvement:
* Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to upgrade processes and systems.
* Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation to streamline upgrade workflows.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement enhancements and optimize upgrade methodologies.
Requirements:
* Experience with Financial Services Investment Management, Trading or related systems highly preferable (e.g. Charles River IMS).
* Proven ability to partner with various internal departments to deliver superior customer service.
* Experience in MS SQL Server and/or Sybase database configuration, operations, and basic administration functions.
