We are currently seeking a Dispatch Manager to join our team at our Fethard site. This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the dispatch team, ensuring efficient coordination with transport partners, and maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders across Finance, Planning, NPD, Quality, HR, and Maintenance.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in warehouse dispatch management within an FMCG environment, strong organisational and communication skills, and a solid understanding of inventory and logistics. This role requires someone who can lead daily dispatch meetings, manage supplier performance, identify training needs, and uphold high standards of safety and compliance. Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage the daily operations of the dispatch team to ensure smooth and efficient workflow.
2. Hold regular meetings with suppliers to maintain service levels and strong working relationships.
3. Liaise with internal stakeholders including Finance, Planning, NPD, Quality, HR, and Maintenance to coordinate dispatch activities.
4. Work closely with transport partners to minimise potential issues and improve transport efficiency.
5. Identify and escalate critical issues to senior management as required.
6. Monitor and manage lead times with consideration for capacity and stock holding costs.
7. Initiate and manage supplier non-conformances where applicable.
8. Lead daily dispatch meetings and allocate team holidays to ensure continuous coverage.
9. Ensure all staff adhere to health and safety procedures.
10. Develop and implement KPIs in collaboration with relevant departments to drive performance.
