Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Specialist
We are seeking to recruit an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Specialist on a permanent basis.
Main Responsibilities:
* Lead the EIA process for large scale Renewable Energy Projects, including delivery of the Environmental Impact Assessment Report and Appropriate Assessment/Natura Impact Statement.
* Provide environmental expertise to assist the Planning Team and inform Business Unit Strategy, ensuring compliance with Planning and Environmental issues.
* Stay up-to-date with changes in planning/environmental legislation, policy decisions, and development plans.
* Contribute to Company submissions as required.
* Assist with stakeholder management and project planning.
* Ensure works comply with Health & Safety and Environmental policies and statutory requirements.
* Support junior staff with upskilling and mentoring.
The Ideal Candidate:
* Hons Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or equivalent.
* Post Graduate qualification in a relevant discipline desirable but not essential.
* Minimum 5 years experience in leading EIAR and AA/NIS preparation for large scale projects essential.
* Expertise in EIS/EIAR and AA/NIS documentation and team leadership essential.
* Understanding of EIA process and Irish planning policy and legislation essential.
* Renewables and related infrastructure experience desirable.
