Job Description
The Facilities Technician is responsible for maintaining the physical infrastructure and operational efficiency of plant buildings, ensuring a safe, comfortable, and functional environment for occupants.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of building integrity and carry out minor repairs as required.
* Respond to urgent maintenance issues, such as leaks, damaged infrastructure, etc. in a timely and effective manner.
* Perform minor construction tasks, such as painting, carpentry, and patching.
* Perform daily/weekly checks on building systems, HVAC, water treatment, vacuum, compressed air, cooling towers and fire protection systems.
* Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized support services.
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs, in a regulated Medical Device facility.
* Adherence to safety protocols and procedures.
* Ensure all maintenance and repairs are carried out in compliance to relevant regulations, SOP's and Gx P requirements.
Requirements:
* 5+ years relevant work experience.
* Trade qualification in a similar role/regulated environment.
* General building repair, plumbing and carpentry skill-set.
* Knowledge of engineering principles of plant equipment.
* Good interpersonal and communication skills.
* Strong planning and organizational ability.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Computer Literacy: Proficiency in using Microsoft Windows and MS Office suite of products.
* Familiarity with Trend or any other Building Management System is an advantage.
