Applications are sought for Ad Astra Fellow - Assistant Professor in Micropollutant Detection within the College of Science.
We are seeking a faculty member in the area of micropollutant detection, destruction and/or ecotoxicology.
The successful candidate will undertake research in aspects the qualification and quantification, destruction and/or toxicity analysis of contaminants of emerging concern.
Focus could include development of analytical methodologies for quantifying the principally established micropollutants, and/or expertise in their removal from water streams, and/or measurements of their toxicity to aquatic organisms/human health or the toxicity of any byproducts generated following their remediation.
The candidate will have a PhD in life science, chemistry, earth science, or a closely related cognate discipline and, as well as completing cutting edge research in the area, will contribute to the operation of the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes delivered through the Science programme.

€62,855 - €99,533 Per Annum Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines.
