JOB SUMMARY
Perform troubleshooting/diagnostics and associated repairs of failed server components e.g. SSD, Annapurna, Memory DIMMs, Motherboards, CPUs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Adheres to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as required by Jabil.
* Complies with and follows all procedures within Jabil’s security policy.
* Analyzes failure data/test scripts received from failed units and participates in testing of failed components using provided testers and scripts.
* Follows supplied run books and escalates gaps to Test engineer and LDT.
* Accurately identifies failed components using supplied hardware and software diagnostic scripts along with a visual inspection.
* Assists Debug Senior /Lead Debug tech with the reporting of yield data trends, analysis and shares this feedback with Line Leads, Operations, Test and Quality.
* Completes documentation of all actions taken and keeps records of repairs and fixes for future reference.
* Troubleshooting failed server components by following the predetermined instruction path.
* Validates debug diagnoses, post rework, by using debug validation script.
* Other ad hoc duties may be assigned.
* Participates in Kaizen events.
* Actively tracks own efficiency and output and works with LDT/Engineer to hit targets.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
* Minimum 12 months experience working in Jabil (technical role) is essential (for internal applicants).
* Intermediate knowledge of Excel.
* Understanding of server hardware.
* Basic understanding of Linux Operating System. Previous experience using Linux and related software advantageous.
* Basic knowledge and understanding of shell scripting.
* Basic understanding of various test tools used in Debug process at Jabil.
* Knowledge of Jabil Operating systems advantageous (iFactory/JDoc).
* Basic knowledge and understanding of the Process Control Plans.
* Basic knowledge and understanding of how to process Failure Mode Effective Analysis.
* Basic knowledge and understanding of the Material Review Board (MRB) Process and the implementation of MRBs.
* Ability to understand and utilize assembly documentation such as but not limited to the following: D-Tree, Schematics, BOMs, Visual aids, Debug, Testing tools and procedures.
* Basic understanding of overall ticket management process and functionality on iFactory (Debug comment tool).
* Ability to manage deadlines.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with strong interpersonal skills.
* To be certified and have completed the following Jabil Mandatory trainings (for internal candidates):
o Manual Handling
o Environmental, Health & Safety
o Jabil’s Cyber Security
o Jabil’s Dignity at Work
o Jabil’s ESD Training
o Jabil’s 5S Training
* Jabil’s Manufacturing Overview.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
* BS degree in Electronics (S/W elective)/ Mechatronics / Computer Programming/science or related discipline (L6/7).
* 1-2 years’ experience working as a Debug Technician, or a similar role is required. May substitute experience in lieu of educational requirements.
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel skills/Linux.
