Our client based in Mayo has an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources Business Partner to join their a highly motivated and dynamic HR team at their manufacturing facility. The HR Business Partner will undertake a broad range of HR and EH&S related responsibilities, working closely with the wider HR Team and reporting to the HR Manager. You’ll be responsible for the consistent drafting, application of our policies, processes, and guidelines in line with Irish legislation, working closely with employees from all departments. You will conduct both administrative and strategic responsibilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Act as a right hand to the HR Manager. Lead and manage HR/EH&S functions within HR, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.
* Build strong relationships with business leaders and managers, collaborating with them to understand their needs, challenges, and goals, provide tailored HR and EH&S solutions and support.
* Coach managers and leaders to manage & develop their teams and handle HR/EH&S issues appropriately and effectively.
* Partner with leaders and managers to ensure effective Performance Management/Probation processes are followed through effective goal setting for each department and individual based on strategic business goals. Ensure effective and timely Performance Reviews are carried out by all managers consistently across all functions.
* Work closely with leaders and managers to align HR and EH&S strategies and initiatives with the organization's overall business objectives and goals. Facilitate programs that enhance employee engagement and well-being.
* Act as a consultant on all employee relations matters. Reviewing challenges, creating a plan for resolution and ensuring the plan is followed through to completion. Oversee appropriate investigation and/or disciplinary procedures.
* Keep up-to-date on employment laws and regulations, as well as other legal requirements to direct the creation, interpretation, and application of HR policies throughout the facility.
* Maintain policies and ensure people managers are following HR policies for example with Time & Attendance Management, Performance/Probation Management.
* Proactively research, evaluate new trends, propose and implement best practices in HR and EH&S to enhance organizational effectiveness. Ongoing review our current HR/EH&S/Performance Management Processes to continually improve, streamline and align globally where possible.
* Work with HR Team to effective plan and lead HR & EH&S projects aimed at driving organizational change, improving HR processes, enhancing employee engagement, and supporting business growth to including, planning, implementation & communications in relation to projects.
* Oversee the payroll and benefits administration in conjunction with the HR team. Support with the compensation/merit review process.
* In conjunction with the HR Manager, regularly review employee benefits to ensure we remain competitive.
* Work with the HR Team to ensure HR Data is accurate and up to date on all relevant HR systems in line with GDPR. Utilize HR analytics and metrics to develop HR initiatives that address gaps and capitalize on opportunities and also to identify trends and insights.
* Assist with GDPR activities, including policies and training, and ensure HR data is managed within the requirements of the HR Department, GDPR & Data Protection legislation.
Qualifications, Education & Experience:
* BSc in Human Resources and/or Employment Law qualification or a relevant discipline.
* 3-5 years’ experience within a HR Strategic/Leadership role, ideally within a multinational progressive organization with a proven reputation for working in a demanding and competitive environment.
* Experience in HR business partnering with ownership for a business area.
* A thorough knowledge of Employment Law, practices and their application, with a proven track record in dealing with employee relations issues.
* Experience in EH&S is an advantageous but not essential.
* Proven ability to build strong relationships with senior leaders.
* Strong team player with the ability to engage and influence.
* Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
* Strong IT proficiency and administrative skills.
