We are seeking a highly motivated Corporate Development Analyst to join our dynamic team. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the strategic growth of the company through Merger & Acquisitions and strategic initiatives.
Work location is flexible in the Republic of Ireland. We have offices in Cork and Dublin.
Key Responsibilities
1. Support the evaluation and execution of M&A transactions, partnerships, and strategic investments.
2. Conduct detailed financial analysis, valuation modelling, and due diligence.
3. Prepare investment memoranda, board presentations, and business cases to support decision-making.
4. Perform industry and market research to identify growth opportunities, competitive threats, and market trends.
5. Collaborate with internal teams (finance, legal, operations, property) and external advisors on deal structuring and execution.
6. Assist in developing and implementing corporate strategy, including long-term strategic planning and business transformation initiatives.
7. Track and analyse post-transaction integration and deal performance metrics.
8. Support senior management in stakeholder communications and investor relations as needed.
Minimum Requirements
1. Be a qualified accountant with 1-3 years of PQE in a relevant field, such as:
* Big Four Transaction Services / Corporate Finance / Restructuring
* Corporate Development / In-house M&A
1. Strong financial modelling and analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
2. Experience with valuation techniques, financial due diligence, and transaction structuring.
3. Solid understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, and corporate finance concepts.
4. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to synthesise complex information for senior stakeholders.
5. Strong research capabilities and ability to interpret market/industry trends.
6. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
7. Proactive, detail-oriented, and a self-starter with strong problem-solving skills.
This is a contract position with a duration of 18-24 months.
