Support Worker
Cpl Healthcare, in partnership with a non-profit homeless services provider, seeks an experienced staff member to join their team in Dublin.
The Role:
* To assess and support families and individuals during their pathway through homelessness to settlement.
* Full-time: 2-year Fixed Term Contract, Specific Purpose Contract
Duties:
* Visit families and individuals in emergency accommodation or their own homes.
* Carry out assessments and reviews and develop and implement support plans with those referred to the service.
* Work within a client-centered approach, encouraging autonomy and independence.
* Making contact with and establishing links as appropriate with local services and relevant community groups and working closely where appropriate with housing providers.
* Familiarity with and compliance with all relevant policy.
* Maintenance of accurate records and statistics in accordance with organisational policy.
* Participation in the evaluation and development of the service.
* Collaboration as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Requirements and Experience:
* A relevant third-level qualification at degree level (e.g. social care, psychology, sociology).
* Proven experience working in a social care setting.
* Willingness to develop professional skills as identified through supervision.
* A full clean driver's license (desirable).
* Experience in dealing with child protection and welfare responsibilities.
* Carrying out assessments, including risk assessments.
* Developing support plans and carrying out reviews.
* Managing challenging behaviour.
