Maintenance Technician
The Maintenance Technician will provide critical support to the site's technologies and utilities in production, working collaboratively as part of a wider maintenance team. Their responsibilities include delivering a comprehensive maintenance function covering plant, equipment, and auxiliary services.
In this role, you will strive to continuously improve upon standards by leveraging internal tools and actively engaging in problem-solving and continuous improvement events. The plant operates in a high-volume 24/7 production environment.
* Execute maintenance work orders assigned by the Maintenance Manager or their delegates in a timely and efficient manner.
* Conduct reactive, predictive, corrective, and preventative maintenance on the production process/line, identify the cause of the issue, initiate an appropriate action plan, resolve, report, and document actions taken.
* Monitor and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), identifying bottlenecks within the process, report, and conduct problem-solving with relevant production team members.
* Participate in and deliver technical training to the production team members, focusing on one-point lessons for key equipment.
* Standardize machine settings, engineering work, spare parts, training, procedures, and records to eliminate adjustments on tooling and replacement parts.
* Continuously improve standards by facilitating and executing problem-solving within the plant and performing Gap analysis on manufacturing data to understand where to focus/prioritize problem-solving efforts.
* Perform all maintenance work in the value stream safely, following health, safety, and quality procedures.
* Participate in shift hand-over, including documentation and communication with the next or previous shift to ensure continuity.
* Assist in delivering key projects impacting site objectives as part of a wider project team.
* Support the implementation and embody the principles of site continuous improvement projects.
Requirements:
* NVQ Level 3, City and Guilds, NFQ Level 5 National Craft Certificate, time-served Apprenticeship, or relevant electrical engineering qualification.
* Previous experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment in FMCG, Manufacturing, or Pharmaceutical.
* Proven track record in defining, developing, implementing, executing, and delivering projects in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment.
* Process improvement mindset and willingness to learn new technologies and techniques.
* Demonstratable communication skills, both verbal and written, with ability to work as part of a team.
