We're looking for software engineers who are passionate about embedded systems and keen to apply their expertise to our dynamic team. Your contributions will be instrumental in advancing our portfolio of communication devices, ensuring we provide our customers with innovative and reliable products.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
1. Work in an Agile/Scrum team to design, implement, and test new two-way radio products and features
2. Analyze software requirements to determine feasibility of design within quality assurance, time and cost constraints
3. Teamwork in a multi-site, world-wide development environment
4. Use secure programming practices to create mission critical and reusable software
5. Participation in peer reviews
6. Develop intellectual property
7. Finding, tracking, and repairing RTOS device software defects
8. Create and execute unit, integration, system, load, and acceptance tests
9. Contribute to the improvement of existing mature software development processes
Basic Requirements:
1. Bachelor's Degree required; major in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
2. 0 to 3 years of team software development/testing experience.
Preferred Skills:
1. Good understanding of C++
2. Experience in real-time embedded software
3. Strong communication and problem-solving skills
4. Experience using version control; Git is a plus
5. Experience with Linux is a plus
6. Experience in communications protocols (USB, TCP/IP, BT, LTE, WiFi) is a plus
7. Experience in Test Driven Development is a plus
8. Experience with the use of test equipment such as logic analyzers, serial data analyzers, oscilloscopes, etc. is a plus
9. Experience with embedded development/debug tools (such as emulators/JTAG, etc.) is a plus
