Our client, a leading multinational Semiconductor Company, requires a Senior Analog Mixed Signal Design Engineer for a role in Cork City, Ireland.
Role: You will be a part of the Analog and Mixed Signal Design team responsible for providing efficient analog and digital dc/dc controllers ICs for the consumer, automotive, and industrial markets.
Responsibilities: Design of power management blocks including: SMPS/Buck converter/LDO/Bandgaps/Current References/opamp/oscillator/temperature sensors Convert specifications into Analog IC solutions Perform the actual design and simulations of Analog IC circuits using state-of-the-art EDA tools like Cadence Responsible for delivering the fully verified blocks in simulations Documentation of all Analog IC design related issues and contribute to datasheets, architectural specifications, and development plans Review Analog IC designs, evaluations, characterization, and test results Collaborate with cross-functional teams including layout, test, verification, and validation Work with layout designer to implement circuit designs with best-practice layout techniques Prepare and present design review materials Experience in chip integration and Top level Mixed Mode Simulation to successfully integrate analog IP at chip level Support bench bring-up and test plans and validate/characterize/debug designs into high volume production Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in electronic engineering, physics or related discipline; M.Sc.
or Ph.D. is ideal but not required A minimum of 5 years' experience in analog or mixed-signal analog IC Design Solid background and knowledge in all aspects of analog design Experience in the design of power-management blocks Background in control feedback systems Demonstrated track record for bringing Analog/Mixed-Signal designs into high volume production Experience with the use of Cadence design and verification tools including mixed signal simulation Experience working with cross-site teams and contractors Interfacing with verification, process, test, program management, layout, and application engineers to successfully bring new products from initial concept through release Interested in system design and how this translates to analog design requirements and propose innovative and creative solutions where necessary to meet customer needs Experience with verilog behavioral modelling (System Verilog and/or VerilogAMS and/or VerilogA) Layout related skills and/or Matlab and/or SIMPLIS experience is a plus Contact: For an informal discussion, contact Micheal, Managing Director, on +353 1 5254642 or email
