About Your New Role
In your new job you will be responsible for the entire project dealing with various stake holders on a daily basis. You will be based in Portlaoise on a large commercial refurbishment project.
As the Senior Project Manager you will be responsible for overseeing the large-scale construction project from planning to completion. The role involves managing budgets, schedules, teams, and ensuring projects meet quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage the planning and execution project, ensuring that all project goals, timelines, and budgets are achieved.
* Oversee the procurement process for contractors, suppliers, and consultants, ensuring alignment with project needs and expectations.
* Work collaboratively with architects, engineers, and other key stakeholders to ensure all design and technical requirements are met.
* Develop, manage, and monitor project schedules, budgets, and risk assessments, proactively identifying and addressing any issues or delays.
* Supervise day-to-day project operations, ensuring progress is on track, quality control is maintained, and health and safety standards are adhered to.
What Skills You Need
* Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Project Manager within the construction sector in Ireland.
* Strong understanding of the Irish construction process, local building regulations, and residential design practices.
* Proven experience in managing large-scale developments in Ireland.
* Degree or equivalent qualification in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
* In-depth knowledge of Irish construction regulations, health & safety standards, and quality management practices.
* PMP, PRINCE2, or similar Project Management certification preferred.
