Financial ControllerMy client is a rapidly growing company in the construction sector, with operations across Ireland & Europe. Based in North Wicklow, they are currently recruiting for an ambitious, commercially focused Financial Controller to join their management team.The Role:Reporting to and supporting the Finance Director on the performance and strategic development of the finance function.Assisting in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts and other financial reports for review.Maintain and control checks and balances on various nominal ledger accounts in line with month-end preparation.Full responsibility for the oversight of Group payroll, Supplier, and Subcontractor functions.Lead and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of growth and efficiency, managing a team of 4 accounts staff.Review and authorise payment files on the online banking platforms.Ensure full statutory and regulatory compliance across areas such as VAT, Tax, and other regulatory obligations in multi-jurisdictions.Preparing annual budgets, short-term and long-term cash flows.Engaging with the commercial department to ensure accuracy of various rates in use for estimating on projects.Preparation of information for external auditors for the annual audit.Interfacing with 3rd party organisations such as external auditors, tax advisers, and global payroll advisers as required.Participation in the scoping, selection, and implementation of an ERP system.Align financial strategies with long-term business objectives, enhance financial systems, and streamline processes to improve reporting and efficiency.Drive the Finance department KPIs and monthly reporting.The Candidate:ACCA, CIMA, or ACA Qualified with a minimum of 3 years.5+ years’ experience in a similar role.Demonstrated ability to manage and mentor teams, with strong communication and interpersonal capabilities.Results-driven, proactive, and commercially aware, with high levels of integrity and a focus on continuous improvement.Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.Experience in a multi-currency and multi-jurisdictional setting is an advantage.Salary: €100k - €110k plus benefits.Hybrid working, 3 days on site.
