CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting now for an Engineering Manager to join the team located at our client’s Dublin office. This role will lead the engineering team and report directly into the Regional Operations Director.
The purpose of the role is:
This position is responsible for the tactical and operational management of the client’s critical environment infrastructure and practical delivery of best-in-class operational standards resulting in an excellent engineering service provision across the UK portfolio.
Operational management of CBRE’s specialist M&E Supply Chain and OEMs in order to deliver a best-in-class service with the ultimate objective of meeting the Key Performance Indicators and Service Level Agreement targets at our Dublin location.
The Engineering Manager will have a strong mechanical and or electrical background responsible for writing or reviewing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Emergency Operating Procedures (EOPs) for use in maintenance work on business-critical infrastructure. Most importantly, the Engineering Manager will own the implementation, standardisation and ongoing ownership of the local Critical Environments Program.
The role is responsible for leading the engineering team and ensuring the smooth operation of engineering systems in the building. Client communication and collaboration is key to the success of this role.
Key Tasks:
1. Mobilization activities, such as reviewing project information, creating an engineering operating model, and recruiting engineers, as well as BAU activities, such as managing on-site teams, attending engineering calls, and ensuring compliance with client specifications.
Requirements:
* A strong mechanical and electrical background, with experience in critical services environments, and a good understanding of BIM, LEED, WELL, and Zero Carbon preparation.
* Ensuring business policies and processes are effectively communicated and implemented within the contract.
* Delivering effective business communication through advice, review, leadership and direct contribution to management and team meetings, briefings, consultation forums, correspondence, publicity, monthly and ad-hoc reporting and other publications, as appropriate.
Accountabilities:
* Ensure the provision of healthy and safe working conditions and that both clients and Company health and safety policy and process is effectively implemented across both CBRE and subcontractors’ activities and are regularly reviewed.
* The role is accountable for all engineering systems in the building, including uptime of systems and meeting KPIs.
* Ensure contracts are staffed by fully competent teams, ensuring post holders are fully competent, and that effective succession planning arrangements are in place.
* Working with other Operational managers to ensure the collaborative development of the business, effective team working, and support to colleagues.
* Ensuring customer focus within all areas of operational activities, and those effective relationships are maintained with key client contacts.
