General Operative - Courtbrack Assistant - MIC Unijobs on behalf of our client Mary Immaculate College are recruiting for a General Operative to engage in a position based on the Limerick campus on the South Circular Road.
We are looking for someone to commence on May 12th with an initial end date of the 22nd of August.
The working week is 35 hours per week paid at €16.17 per hour.
The shifts you will be required to work may be any or the following shifts: 8am - 4pm, 4pm - 12p.m., 12pm - 8pm, 2 pm - 8 pm, 9.30am - 5.30p.m.
and 12am - 8am and will be assigned by your roster not exceeding 35 hours per week Job Requirements: The General Operative must have the following.
1.
Relevant experience in general maintenance work.
2.
Experience in painting and/or grounds-keeping.
3.
Experience of working in a large, multi-departmental organisation.
4.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite.
5.
Prior customer service experience 6.
High standard of organisational skills.
7.
Strong interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills.
8.
Ability to work effectively within an established team environment and equally on own initiative.
9.
Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
10.
Excellent problem-solving abilities.
11.
A full, clean driving licence.
12.
First Aid qualification or other Health & Safety certification.
Duties and Responsibilities Duties include: * General maintenance work throughout the College and Campus including, but not confined to light carpentry, electrical, painting duties and green keeping.
* Preparation of different areas for various functions and ceremonies that may take place on campus throughout the year.
* Set up of various rooms, offices and assistance in removal and relocation of offices, rooms and equipment, as required.
* Assistance in the upkeep of maintenance stores.
* Driving duties (full driver's licence is essential).
* Aid on occasions regarding Security/Fire Safety/Health & Safety matters and traffic control etc.
* Reception duties as required.
* Supervision of people using sports and sports equipment facilities as required.
* General upkeep of MIC buildings and facilities including cleaning, vacuuming, waste disposal etc., as and when required.
* Regular safety and security checks, particularly prior to closing each night.
* Liaison with other College personnel, including Maintenance and Security teams.
