Role Overview:
As a Senior Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of social housing projects from conception to completion. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design, plan, and implement engineering solutions that align with our client's vision of creating vibrant and resilient communities. From assessing feasibility and conducting site investigations to overseeing construction activities and ensuring compliance with regulations, you will be at the forefront of driving excellence in engineering practices.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the engineering design process, including structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing aspects, ensuring adherence to project specifications and industry standards.
* Conduct site surveys, feasibility studies, and risk assessments to inform project planning and decision-making.
* Collaborate with architects, contractors, and stakeholders to develop innovative solutions that optimize project outcomes while meeting budgetary and timeline requirements.
* Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams, resolving complex engineering challenges and ensuring quality and safety standards are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
* Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement and innovation in engineering practices.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
* Master's degree preferred.
* Proven experience in engineering design, project management, and construction oversight, with a focus on social housing or community development projects.
* Strong knowledge of engineering principles, codes, and regulations relevant to social housing construction.
* Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders and drive consensus.
* Proficiency in CAD software, project management tools, and other relevant engineering software applications.
* Professional engineering license (P.E.) or equivalent certification preferred.
