Sisgate Pro have been exclusively retained to search for a qualified Accountant to work across manufacturing and retail divisions in a growing Irish business, based in Celbridge, Co. Kildare.
Position Summary
Our client is a vibrant and growing manufacturing business with associated retail outlets. The company is accredited in terms of compliance, CSR, and sustainability. It has grown its portfolio of products and also distributes outside of Ireland.
We are looking for a senior accountant to produce month-end reporting, group accounts, oversee AP/AR, and interact with non-finance peers to help improve the quality of cost accounting and margin reporting.
Responsibilities and Duties
Key focus from an individual perspective will be the retail operations and reviewing performance, tracking true cost of sales, analysing margins, and liaising with sales and commercial managers.
Other responsibilities include:
1. Prepares timely and accurate reports outlining the firm’s financial position in areas of income, expenditure, balance sheet, and cash flow.
2. Provide input into board packs for management.
3. Prepare financial analyses as needed on any specific area requested by the head of finance.
4. Helps to prepare budgets and financial forecasts to specific timelines.
5. Assists with audit and tax returns preparation for the company.
6. Ensures maintenance of month-end and year-end reporting in compliance with all applicable laws.
7. Ability to think logically and make sound, ethical decisions.
8. Ability to assist and direct managers and train on the tools to help them succeed with their targets and budgets.
Specific Job Knowledge, Skill and Ability
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that they can perform the essential functions of the job:
1. Accountant with in-house industry experience. (Manufacturing and/or retail finance experience a bonus)
2. Ability to effectively deal with board, staff, suppliers, and third parties, showing strong communication skills.
3. Knowledge of supervision and management techniques.
4. Experience of accounting operations to include all aspects such as accounts receivable, general ledger, accounts payable, payroll, statutory reporting, etc.
5. Good systems experience - Advanced Excel skills and/or exposure to Netsuite a bonus.
Minimum Requirements
1. ACCA, ACA, CIMA qualified or equivalent, a preference.
2. Experience working within a manufacturing and/or retail environment a bonus.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: €62,000.00-€76,500.00 per year
