You will lead the engineering team based in the Midlands, overseeing the design, development, and deployment of products or systems. Your role is pivotal in driving innovation, ensuring quality, and maintaining compliance with industry standards. Previous Medical Device and Manufacturing experience is essential.ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities:Lead and manage the engineering department, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.Oversee the entire product development lifecycle from concept to commercialization, ensuring adherence to timelines, budget, and quality standards.Collaborate cross-functionally with product management, operations, and quality assurance teams to align engineering efforts with business objectives.Develop and implement engineering strategies to enhance product performance and reliability.Mentor and develop engineering talent, fostering professional growth and succession planning within the team.Drive continuous improvement initiatives in engineering processes and practices to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory requirements in the medical device and manufacturing sectors.Lead root cause analysis and corrective action implementation for product or process issues, ensuring a proactive approach to problem-solving.Drive sustainability and cost-saving initiatives within engineering and manufacturing processes.QualificationsRequirements & Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.Proven experience (10 years) in a senior engineering leadership role, preferably within the Medical Device/Manufacturing Industry.Strong technical expertise in complex projects and teams, delivering results on time and within budget.Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and levels of the organization.Strategic mindset with a track record of driving innovation and operational excellence.
