About the Company
The hiring firm is a successful Small to Medium-sized Enterprise (SME) with strong growth plans as they prepare for sale readiness.
Operating in an innovative market where their product is used in virtually every sector, the employer is in a strong position to now add a Financial Controller to lead their finance function and develop their growth in a more structured way.
This will be a combination of a commercial and hands-on finance role for a firm that operates across the UK and Republic of Ireland.
The Role
* Preparation of management and statutory accounts
* Cashflow management
* Liaising with auditors and third-party stakeholders such as banks, lenders, insurers, and suppliers
* Working closely with the Commercial Director on business strategy and decisions
* Preparing financial forecasts and budgets
* Analysing and providing commentary on the performance of commercial contracts
* Board presentations
* Conducting financial analysis to help drive performance and report to board level
The Person
* Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
* Strong commercial acumen with a proven track record of success in a fast-paced environment
* Ability to effectively communicate with senior stakeholders
* Experience with M&A is desirable
