Our client, an established engineering consultancy company based in Ireland with a reputation for excellence, has a new opening for a Senior Sustainability Consultant. This position can be a Hybrid working option (2 days in office per week and off-site/remote working).
In this position, you will have the opportunity to manage projects of various scales and types in the areas of carbon accounting, decarbonisation strategies, ESG programmes, resource efficiency, and energy optimisation. This role provides an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, assist clients in navigating their sustainability and ESG reporting requirements, apply carbon accounting methodologies for scope 1, 2, and 3 in line with the GHG Protocol, and contribute to sustainable development across Ireland.
Responsibilities:
* Proactively assist clients to meet their sustainability requirements.
* Analyze and present widescale ESG options and solutions to clients’ senior management teams.
* Manage client relationships by providing expert guidance on sustainability matters.
* Conduct data analysis and management, understanding profiles and trends in data, and explaining these trends to non-technical people.
Minimum Requirements:
* A third level qualification (Degree/Masters) in environmental science or a related discipline.
* Experience working through ISO 14064, SBTi, or other similar carbon accounting standards.
* Experience with both the “S” and “G” from ESG.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
* Ability to build rapport with clients, peers, and authorities on-site and on-phone.
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Ability to deliver a project to a satisfied client that believes we exceed their expectations.
* 4+ years’ relevant experience preferred.
* Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
* Highly motivated individual with strong attention to detail.
* Self-motivated and solution-driven.
* A full clean driving licence.
