Position: Production Supervisor
Location: Co. Wexford

Job Summary:
Reporting into the Production Manager, the supervisor is responsible for all Fabrication staff, ensuring production deadlines are met while making certain quality checks and Health & Safety requirements are fulfilled.
Responsibilities:
1. Reviewing all surveys issued by the Project Co-ordinators to determine required materials.
2. Assessing raw material availability with the Stores Manager.
3. Day-to-day management of direct reports, ensuring all work centres are manned correctly and effectively.
4. Ensuring all Fabricators, including self, are fully utilised and daily tasks assigned in advance. Liaise with all areas of stores and production to work on projects in a sequence best suited to production and delivery.
5. Liaise daily with the production office with status reports on live projects.
6. Liaise daily with the production office regarding upcoming deliveries (including Goods for Dispatch sheet).
7. Daily monitoring of individual and departmental productivity and work quality.
8. Host daily 'board' meetings with relevant stakeholders.
9. Ensuring all Quality checks are performed, and results recorded as required.
10. Identifying and arranging individual operator job training.
11. Ensuring the Fabrication Department is kept clean, tidy, and well-organised.
12. Keeping the Production Manager informed of performance against plans and any issues affecting output, quality, and delivery requirements.
13. Ensuring all Health and Safety requirements are met at all times and potential risks identified and reported to the Health & Safety Manager promptly.
14. Making machine centres, saws, and other equipment available to engineering as required for maintenance and utilising affected staff productively.
15. Liaising with numerous relevant departments.
16. Maintaining a professional and helpful attitude, passing on manufacturing knowledge to other members of staff. Making necessary changes to produce improved results and bringing any issues to the attention of management.
Requirements:
1. Minimum of 2-4 years' experience supervising/managing a team in a manufacturing environment is essential.
2. Customer Service/Client experience is essential.
3. Previous fabrication/AutoCAD experience is a distinct advantage.
4. Previous experience dealing with Health & Safety and Quality as an integral part of a previous role is preferable.
5. Previous experience in a Lean environment is beneficial.
6. Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills.
7. Good solid working knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
8. Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, changing environment.
9. Proven ability to interact with people at all levels in an organisation.
10. Ability to work on own initiative.
