Accounts/Audit Senior The Firm Casey Kavanagh & Company is a well established accountancy practice based in Sligo Town that has a reputation for high quality client service and delivery of client expectations.

We provide our clients with business advice across audit and general accounts preparation.

Over the next 12 months our focus is to further develop our business by acquiring new clients and by developing the existing service lines to existing clients.
The Role Reporting to the Managing Partner the role will be focused on managing the relationship between the firm and its clients.
The role will also involve delegating work to support staff and being responsible for managing performance of support staff on assignments.
This role will include: Responsibility for a portfolio of sole traders and limited companies providing full range of tax and accounting compliance services while also providing business advisory services along with the firms Managing Partner Delegating work to support staff and overseeing completion of same as part of process of preparing financial statements.
Managing and Planning specialist assignments (eg.
Solicitors, Auctioneers, Schools) Responsibility for a portfolio of annual Income Tax returns Ensuring all clients meet their statutory filing requirements and deadlines.
Participate in monthly team meetings to review work in progress and assignment requirements.
Working with existing clients to develop new business opportunities.
Provide high level technical support to key clients.
Identify and market additional service offerings to existing clients.
Responsible for working to deadlines and within budgets on each assignment.
Managing and Planning a small portfolio of audit assignments annually.

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have the following experience: Experience of working in a Practice environment and long-term career ambitions within Practice Essential Qualified Accountant CAI/ACCA/CPA or equivalent (an interest in obtaining RI status is desirable but not essential) Ability to work on own initiative and make informed decisions Must be able to manage multiple assignments simultaneously in an efficient manner Strong experience with Microsoft applications and other software packages (including Cloud based packages) Ability to engage, interact and influence senior stakeholders Excellent verbal and written communication skills Salary - Subject to negotiation dependent upon experience.
