Managing Quantity Surveyor (Hybrid)

With a strong reputation for innovation, sustainability, and excellence, they are seeking an experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor on a permanent basis to lead their commercial team and drive the financial success of their projects in Kildare.
This role is ideal for a Senior Quantity Surveyor with experience working for Tier 1 contractors or managing large-scale projects, looking for the next step in their career.
Responsibilities for Managing Quantity Surveyor:
* Lead and oversee all commercial aspects of construction projects, ensuring cost efficiency and contract compliance.
* Manage procurement processes, including subcontractor and supplier negotiations, to secure value for money.
* Provide strategic commercial advice, identifying risks and opportunities to maximise project profitability.
* Ensure accurate financial forecasting, cost reporting, and cash flow management.
* Negotiate and agree on contracts, variations, and claims, ensuring smooth resolution of any disputes.
* Liaise with clients, contractors, and consultants, ensuring effective commercial management and project delivery.
* Lead and mentor a team of quantity surveyors, fostering professional development and best practices.
* Ensure strict compliance with contracts, regulations, and industry standards.
* Drive continuous improvement within the commercial team, implementing innovative cost management strategies.
Requirements for Managing Quantity Surveyor:
* Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related discipline.
* Experience managing projects within residential, commercial, or infrastructure sectors.
* Strong track record in commercial management, cost control, and procurement.
* Previous experience with Tier 1 contractors or large-scale construction projects.
* In-depth knowledge of construction contracts and financial forecasting.
* Strong negotiation skills with the ability to build relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
* Proven leadership and team management abilities.
* Analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
* Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects effectively.
* Full clean driving licence.
