RDS Main Arena Regeneration Project The RDS is currently undergoing a large-scale infrastructure development in the form of a €52 million investment programme aimed at the regeneration of the Main Area.
This exciting transformational project will involve the construction of a new 6,775 capacity Anglesea Stand as well as the regeneration of the Grandstand.
With a vision to create memorable and lasting experiences for live entertainment and sporting communities, the move signals the transformation of the RDS.
Underpinned by wellbeing, inclusivity, sustainability and excellence, it signifies a significant upgrade for the overall RDS visitor.
About the Role To provide a comprehensive and professional accountancy support service within the RDS Finance Department.
Key Responsibilities Assisting Finance Manager with the following: Monthly reporting; Vat compliance and reporting; Procurement support and monitoring; Tendering support and monitoring; Accounting system updates to meet ongoing compliance and reporting requirements; Risk management within Finance; Regulatory compliance; Insurance administration; Finance requirements from Internal Audit.
Providing Cover for Finance colleagues in areas such as Payroll.
Participating in any RDS project, event or activity as directed by the Finance Manager and/or Chief Executive.
This could be finance support to Horse Show activities, Foundation activities or Commercial activities.
Person Specification Personal Attributes & Skills: Highly conscientious, flexible and detail conscious person with the ability to work on own initiative.
A good communicator with the ability to multi-task and to work calmly under pressure.
Motivated individual with strong organisation and time management skills.
Excellent IT skills particularly in Excel.
Qualifications: Qualified Accountant.
Experience: At least 2 /3 years experience in a similar role.
Goodworking knowledge of accounting software packages such as Sun Systems.
