Post Summary:
The Security Services is responsible for the management and delivery of security services that support the core business of the University. These services will include general security services, managing security systems and liaison with the emergency services. The Security Officer will report to the Superintendent as their shift Supervisor and their line manager is the Security Operations Manager.
Post status: Specific Purpose Contract
The specific purpose of this employment is to fill a Security Officer vacancy on a temporary basis pending the return of the postholder from authorised leave. Employment is not offered on an indefinite duration basis as the original postholder is expected to return.
Hours of Post: 39 hours per week
Salary: This appointment will be made on the Fortnightly Merged Security 2 Salary Scale (€1,284.48 - €1,452.91 per fortnight) at a point in line with current Government pay policy.
